Here at MacPoker.com, we are all about promoting the best Mac online poker sites and poker tournaments. Long-time online poker players know all about the annual FTOPS series on Full Tilt Poker. FTOPS XXVI is already underway and concludes with the $600 buy-in Main Event on August 17th. FTP, as you probably know, is one of the world’s best and most popular online poker sites. FTOPS is to Full Tilt Poker (read Full Tilt review here) in the same way the Super Bowl is to the NFL. The NFL would be a great sport even without the NFL, but the Super Bowl is the main event. Without the Super Bowl, the sport of football would be missing a crucial event. Ditto for the poker community if the FTOPS series was non-existent. FTP is a great online poker site, but the annual FTOPS series is a key event on FullTilt.
FTOPS XVII Main Event
Thousands of poker players will be competing in the 2014 version of the FTOPS series that got underway on August 3rd. There are 31 total events during FTOPS XXVI. Here is the complete FTOPS XXVI schedule. Every event guarantees at least $25,000 in prize pool money. The Main Event has a guaranteed $1,000,000 prize pool and will be one of the most popular poker tournaments online this year.
History of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series
FTOPS I took place in August 2006. The winner – “Crownginger” – took home $161,480 (per FullTilt wiki page). Later in the year (FTOPS II) – “Spiked” – claimed a first place prize of $224,000. The first place prize then increased each FTOPS, with the biggest winner coming in February 2011, when 3 players each earned $877,949 (“GIAMPP” was deemed first place winner). The 26th episode of the FTOPS Main Event will have a first place prize pool of more than $300,000. Of course, that isn’t the only event during FTOPS XXVI. There are 30 other events with different buy-ins and guaranteed prize pools. Good luck in FTOPS XXVI!
