Sofia Lovgren hails from Sweden and can be found playing online poker under the moniker of “wellbet”. She is sometimes known as “the girl who bluffed Phil Hellmuth”, and judging from the amount of views on that Youtube video, she has a lot of fans.
Sofia can be seen playing in several WSOP and WPT events all over the world annually, and is a growing name in the female poker world. She has total lifetime live winnings of $78,984. Capitalizing on her popularity at the ripe age of 20, PKR signed Sofia as the first woman player to their “Team PKR”, an honour that Sofia is proud of. Lovgren’s favorite things to do are travelling and poker, so joining Team PKR is right up her alley. She will be representing the site in several live and online tournaments so keep an eye out for the Swedish Young gun on the circuit.
Sofia, unlike many other women in poker, was not a model turned poker player. In fact, she has been playing the cash tables at PKR for over 2 years, and only then did they decide to sign her as the first female on Team PKR. The fun loving Lovgren said her main goals in poker would be to make enough money to buy a house in Vegas, where she would throw the most bad-ass house parties in existence, saying she’d “invite Robert Pattison and Prince Harry”. She also shares the common dream that most poker players can definitely relate to of winning a major live tournament, particularly the World Series of Poker.
