OS X Snow Leopard Ship Date August 28th?
Apple’s U.K. online store might have accidentally spilled the beans about OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard by stating a shipping date of August 28th. There are also scattered reports around the internet that August 28th is the day the new release will be shipping. The operating system will cost only $29 and a Family Pack of five users is just $49.
BlazingStars Coming Soon to Apple OS X
There’s a very exciting development on the TwoPlusTwo forums in light of the recent announcement that a Mac version of PokerTracker 3 was on its way. Now, there’s word of a program called BlazingStars, an AHK-like set of tools for Apple users. Although there isn’t much to report, the news that this program is under development is enough to get Mac fans very excited.
PokerStars Announces the Million Dollar Challenge
Mac-friendly online poker room PokerStars announced a new promotion called the Million Dollar Challenge. The site is offering a shot at playing poker on television for $1 million in a heads-up match against PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu on the FOX network. All players have to do is play in daily freerolls and finish in the top ten. Qualifiers will then be allowed to submit a short video on why they think PokerStars should send them to be on the show. Players can find the Million Dollar Challenge qualifier tournaments in the PokerStars lobby by going to the Tourney > Regional section. The freerolls run daily at 8:00pm and 11:00pm ET.
Sit and Go Madness this Weekend on Full Tilt Poker
The very popular Sit and Go Madness promotion is back at Full Tilt Poker this weekend and kicks off at 16:00 ET today (August 21st) and ends at 16:00 ET on Sunday, August 23rd. There are four different groups of sit and go levels to participate in. Prizes are awarded every two hours and range from $20 for the winner from Group A ($1 to $2 sit and gos) all the way up to $500 for Group D’s champ ($50 to $110 sit and gos). There’s also an overall leaderboard where the top two players in each group will play in a $5,000 freeroll. Then there’s the Madness Freeroll, which features a $50,000 prize pool open and is to anyone who wins at least two sit and gos. The freeroll takes place on Saturday, August 29th at 16:50 ET.
